❓ The document herein sets the rights and obligations of TON grants recipients and describes the flow of milestone submission and acceptance.

Every team that gets an approval for a grant from TON Foundation must study this document and oblige to comply with its provisions.

The general grants rules for grant recipients shall be as follows:

  1. Need to sign agreement and abide by its provisions
  2. Act in good faith and communicate properly and effectively
  3. Teams commit to delivering each milestone strictly according to the deadline set in the grant proposal on Questbook, and the entire grant scope - in no longer than 6 months from the moment of approval. Any protraction of the deadline must be communicated to the Grants team at least 2 weeks in advance along with a clear explanation of the reasons for the delay. If the Grants team gives their approval, the deadline can be updated.
  4. Teams receive funds upon the completion of each milestone. No advanced payment is envisioned by this grant program.
  5. Throughout product development, teams developing Mini Apps must refer to this document Telegram App Standards and Best Practices: Guide for TON teams as a collection of standards and best practices.
  6. The content of the milestones may be moderately changed during delivery depending on the circumstances, but only upon providing an exhaustive explanation for the need for change and only upon an explicit approval of the Grants team.
  7. By the moment of the last milestone submission, the team must demonstrate
    1. Compliance with the following document (for Mini Apps) Telegram App Standards and Best Practices: Guide for TON teams
    2. Fully completed grant scope according to the originally approved Questbook proposal;
    3. Ideally, some early product traction (commitments or real clients for B2B; first app users for B2C or other signs of the validation of the main hypothesis).

The payout for the last milestone shall not be made until the above-listed conditions are met.

Exceptional case of grant cancellation

  1. A grant may be cancelled if the team:

1.1. Fails to strictly meet the deadlines set in the original grant proposal except for the circumstances described above.

1.2. Upon the completion of the last milestone, does not show compliance with the ****standard requirements set in this document Telegram App Standards and Best Practices: Guide for TON teams and refuses to make the necessary improvements.

1.3. Changes the content of the milestones without getting an approval from the Grants team and refuses to deliver the original scope.

  1. Please note that the cancellation of the grant is a measure of last resort and a very exceptional case and can only happen if the team is not responsive and collaborative, refusing to improve the submitted work. Generally, if some of the requirements is not met yet, the Grants team first recommends UX/UI/technical improvements and corrections and waits until these are done by an agreed upon deadline.

  2. In the exceptional case of cancellation, a respective comment is made on the Questbook page, the proposal obtains the status ‘cancelled’, and the next payouts are not made.
